Community Stewardship: A Trauma Informed Training
Kaleigh Mancha, LMFT, full spectrum doula & certified trauma informed yoga teacher.
THIS TRAINING IS TWO DAYS LONG: 11/16 & 11/17 FROM 12PM- 6PM BOTH DAYS.
This training helps community members, yoga teachers, therapists & those who work with adolescents & adults understand & implement trauma informed care principles in group settings, specifically based on the needs of communities in Clark County, NV. Throughout this experience we will focus on reindigenizing circles, explore practical solutions for engagement & participation, learn how to apply community centered principles & apply them from a systemic & intersectional lens.
Snacks will be provided.

Reproductive Health Workshop- Lactation
🤱🏽Lactation Basics for Birth Workers🍼
Support your clients by understanding the basics of breast/chestfeeding.
In this workshop, we will dive deep into how to help your client reach their feeding goals, reasons to refer to a lactation specialist, and how to know that your client needs support by asking under-the-surface questions.

Camp Treasure
The Nevada Statewide Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Coalition invites you this fall to Camp Treasure: Navigating the Deep Sea of Maternal and Child Health. Come with us to find the hidden gems within our community! It will be a day filled with community, support, activities, and powerful presentations focused on maternal, child, baby, and family related topics.
The Nevada Statewide MCH Coalition believes that every child deserves a healthy start – it’s the best gift a community can give to its children. The Nevada Statewide MCH Coalition works with community partners to advocate for preconception health, developmental screening, breastfeeding, physical activity, and more for growing families.
To better serve the entire state of Nevada, the MCH Coalition offers membership, resources and support in Northern and Southern Nevada. Together, the Northern and Southern Nevada Coalitions serves to nurture and enhance the knowledge and capacity of the healthcare community to serve the needs of families.

Evidence-Informed Program Planning within Diverse Cultural Contexts
This workshop will provide an overview of how to co-develop an evidence-informed health program that incorporates theoretical and empirical evidence and engages community stakeholders in the planning process. We will provide an overview of the six steps of the Intervention Mapping process, and how a trauma-informed approach can enhance the creation of more effective evidence-informed programs within diverse cultural contexts.
